MOTORCYCLE TRAINING

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
CBT using school motorcycle: £120
CBT with own motorcycle: £110 (must be fully road legal)

Light motorcycle licence category A1
Basic minimum training package is 3½ days: £380 (£350 own bike)
(Price includes Compulsory Basic Training)

Where a valid CBT is already held a 2½-day package is available for just £280 (£250 own bike)

Additional training, pre-test training or riding practice is available with an instructor at £30 per hour, or £25 per hour if using own bike. Student motorcycle hire of a 125cc is also available for just £70 per day.

DSA Theory and practical test costs are additional to the above prices*.

Large motorcycle full licence category A
Basic minimum training package is 3½ days: £490
(Price includes Compulsory Basic Training)

Where a valid CBT is already held a 2½-day package is available for just £390.

Extra instructor supervised training with a 500cc motorcycle is available for where more practice in a particular area of your training, or a possible retest is required. Training is available at £35 per hour (min. two hours) or a full day at £150.

DSA Theory and practical test costs are additional to the above prices*.

Student motorcycle hire
125cc motorcycle hire only at just £70 per day.

Post Test Training
Train with the first DSA registered post test trainer in Cumbria to improve your road safety leading to possible insurance discounts. Own motorcycle only (must be fully road legal) £35 per hour (min. 2 hours) or a full day at £160.

*A DSA theory test is currently £28, and the practical test £60.
